The Drying Process of Sweet Potato Strips

In general, the drying time of sweet potato strips is about 8 hours, and the water content of dried sweet potato strips is 8%-10%. The drying process of sweet potato strips is mainly divided into the following steps: washing, peeling, steaming, cutting, placing, drying and packaging. 1. Wash and peel sweet potatoes first, and then steam them. Take out the sweet potatoes when they are about medium well and cut them into strips after they have cooled.

2. When cutting the strips, ensure that the thickness is consistent, and try not to make the specifications of the sweet potato strips vary too much. After these processes are completed, place the cut sweet potato strips on the trays.

3. Packing into bags: After taking out the dried materials, wait until the sweet potato strips are completely cooled before packing into bags.

The first stage: Put the sweet potato strips into the drying room when the temperature of the drying room rises to about 30°C. Set the temperature to 40℃, and the drying time is 1-2 hours.

The second stage: set the temperature to 55℃ and the mode as continuous dehumidification mode, while the drying time is 2 hours;

The third stage: set the temperature to 65℃ and the mode as continuous dehumidification mode, while the drying time is 2 hours;

The fourth stage: set the temperature to 70℃, while the drying time is 2 hours;

The fifth stage: Turn off the power, take out the dried sweet potato strips one hour later, cool them before packing them.
